Congratulations Mr & Mrs Sharp – A Grand Hotel Lytham St Anne’s Wedding

A Wedding At The Grand Hotel, Lytham St Anne’s

Huge congratulations to Laura & Phil Sharp who were married on Saturday the 6th of June at The Grand Hotel, Lytham St Anne’s at 1pm.Grand Hotel Lytham Wedding Photos Grand Hotel Weddings Grand Hotel Lytham Wedding Photos

We arrived at the hotel the day before, travelling across from Leeds to make sure we were there for the bridal preps. We took this time to scope out what was a new venue for us, and what a beautiful venue it was too. Very imposing, overlooking the beach and sea of Lytham. The prefect setting for a romantic wedding.

We were with bride to be, Laura and all her bridesmaids at 10.30am at The Grand Hotel’s adjoining apartment, Grand 22. Well out of the way from prying eyes. It was a bit chaotic. The room looGrand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photography 6Grand Hotel Lythamked like a tornado had swept through it, quite apt as the weather outside was bright but the 80mph winds were not ideal!

Make-up, underwear, Grand Hotel Lytham St Anne'sshoes, clothes and food everywhere. On the plus side a Man Of Honor taking his job seriously in the corner of the room…. ironing.

The morning was quite a short one for us and within an hour and a half it was off to find  the groom, Phil, his best man & ushers. Where did we find them? The hotel bar… To be fair they were all ready and waiting for us and we managed some gooGrand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photography 4d photos outside despite the wind. All up for a good laugh and quite relaxed.

We headed back over to see Laura who was now in her beautiful dress. We have to mention Laura’s Florist of choice ‘Flower Design‘ who’s service was exceptional. Advising the bride & bridesmaids on how to pose with their flowers and generally going beyond anything we’ve seen with florists.Grand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photography 3

1pm was now upon us and we made our way back to The Grand Hotel where family & friends had gathered in the ceremony room in anticipation of the bride to be. Phil now showing signs of nerves and getting quite emotional.

As the bride to be made her entrance Phil shed a few tears as he looked back to see her making her way down the aisle. These were happy tear and once they were stood side by side, he couldn’t take hGrand hotel Lytham St Annes Wedding Photosis eyes of his beautiful bride.

The service was fairly short with a reading from one of the ushers being quite funny and well received. Once the new Mr & Mrs Sharp had finished the formalities it was just the arduous task of getting 100 guests, keen on getting stuck into the bar, outside in windy conditions. You were all a really good laugh and we hope it was entertaining.

With the wind being as it was we weren’t out for long with the newly wGrand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photography 2eds on their own. We managed to capture a few lovely moments but decided it would be better to try again later in the day. We all ended up with sand in our eyes, mouths and all over Laura’s still very beautiful dress.

Grand Hotel Lytham WeddingNext up were the speeches. Done this time at the end of the meal and everyone introduced in turn by the man of honor who has the best radio/microphone voice ever. Laura’s dad first, Groom Phil followed and then his cousin as best man. The slideGrand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photography 7Grand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photography 5show went down well, which was rounded off by the man of honor telling all the guests to ‘go enjoy yourselves in your rooms for an hour’ while the room was turned around for the evening.

Sure enough the evening do was soon upon everyone and Mr DJ Sid Eccles doing his bit to liven up the crowd. What a charismatic DJ he was, with his mixing and music talk-overs.

Mr & Mrs Sharp were not long in the room and it was time to get the party going properly with their first dance. They were not on their own for long when nearly everyone joined them on the dance floor to help them celebrate and finiGrand Hotel Lytham St Anne's Wedding Photos 2sh their beautiful day in style.

Congratulations to you both. We wish you a lifetime of happiness. Gallery to follow soon.

Just a quick one before we finish. We would  like to give special thanks to the staff over at Grand Hotel for their hospitality. A lovely, welcoming place with super people. Especially nice to meet and work along side Tom.
